If many European cities are beloved and visited by many travelers in January for the only reason – the chance of meeting with tourist crowds is minimal – then Milan motivates others. Namely – sales! After all, immediately after the New Year, famous Saldi is officially launched in the capital of Lombardy. And prices for branded, fashionable things melt like snow in the sun.
In 2024, sales in Milan will begin on January 5, the first Saturday of the month, and will last for 60 days. Naturally, all the most inexpensive items will be sold out in the first weeks, if not days after the start of the promotion.
And therefore, if you are primarily interested in buying some branded clothing and shoes for a reasonable money, do not postpone your trip to Italy even until mid-January.
However, the further the sales go, the higher the discounts will be. The assortment, however, will be greatly reduced.

Weather in Milan in January

In some moments, gloves, scarves, hats and caps will definitely not be superfluous. It is better to take shoes with thick soles and obviously not suede. Because the chance of inadvertently getting your feet wet after a big snowfall in Milan in January is by no means illusory.
What to Do in Milan in January
It is unlikely that you should develop special routes for moving around the city compared to other months of the year. Although, perhaps someone will take the trouble to do it.
